Video transcript:
The most ideal candidate is people who have gotten down
to the weight that they want
and exercise that core, ya know,
six ab muscle as much as they can
and then I just kind of
finish the job — cherry on top, if you will. That’s the ideal candidate.
Do we get those candidates? Not a lot.
Realistically, we get patients who
BMI technically is overweight
or even obese
in the, ya know, BMI of 30 to 35,
and those people still get good results. You just have to be realistic.
You can’t come in, ya know,
overweight and think that I’m gonna take you down to
make you super slim again,
because I’m just taking the stomach out,
and even with a lot of liposuction, it’s not safe.
Liposuction and tummy tucks is not a means to a weight loss.
It’s to help after the weight loss.
You’ll get better results the closer you are to your goal weight,
but I’ve gotten great results in people with
BMI even more than 30,
and that’s technically in the obesity range.
